Replace your original CDI with this one from Malossi.
This changes the ignition timing which releases more power from your block. In addition, this CDI allows for higher engine speeds.
It also controls the secondary air supply, the electric choke, the charge time of the ignition coil and the strength of the spark given off by the spark plug.
Speeds of 65 to 70 km/h can be achieved with this race CDI if all other speed-appropriate components are optimally matched. Thus, you do need to mount it in combination with a fast multivar to begin with, but also consider carburetion, camshaft, exhaust etc.
Note! This CDI is NOT suitable for 4T 2V or 4T 3V engines.
