If the threads of the studs that the cylinder slides over are damaged, or if the studs are warped, don't take an unnecessary risk and put in some fresh ones. They don't cost a turd and this should be just fine.

This silentbloc is used at the bottom of the rear shock absorber, it slides into the mounting eye of the crankcase, the mounting bolt of the shock absorber then goes through this again. This retaining ring keeps the engine oil where it belongs, in the engine. In practice, these retaining rings never come out 100% intact when disassembled. So if you take it out you will have to replace it to make sure that things don't leak later.
